is the right course for you (at BEC or elsewhere). She gives careers
advice and help with CVs.
Enrol on one of these courses:
English ‘literacy’: brushing
up your reading, writing, spelling, grammar, punctuation up to Level
2 - GCSE level); you can gain accreditation without taking exams
(OCR); or take AQA Entry 1-3 exams. At Levels 1 & 2, we offer National
Literacy Tests (OCR) on demand.
Maths ‘numeracy’: brushing
up your addition, subtraction, multiplication, division up to Level
2 – GCSE level); you can gain accreditation without taking exams
(OCR?); or take AQA Entry 1-3 exams. At Levels 1 & 2, we offer National
Numeracy Tests (OCR) on demand.
ESOL ‘English for Speakers
of Other Languages’ : learning English from the beginning – Entry
1 - up to Level 2. All levels have Citizenship and Work embedded
in them); we offer Cambridge Skills for Life exams at every level.
ICT ‘Information and Communication
Technology’: you can learn how to use a computer from the beginning
up to up to GCSE Level. Learn the popular Office programs (Word,
Access, Excel, Powerpoint, Internet Explorer etc at various levels:
Exams in: Skills for Life ICT; New Clait; BBC Webwise; Word and
Text Processing 1-3; Clait Plus; ECDL; ITQ etc.
Childcare (We offer English
for Childcare for people who want to brush up their Literacy to
help them get into childcare; ‘Introduction to Childcare’ at NCFE
Level 1; and Cache’s Children’s Care, Learning and Development NVQ
Level 2;)
