Frequently Asked Questions

How do I enrol? Enrolment is by appointment only; please call 020-7394-6836 for an appointment.

How much do I have to pay for a course? If you qualify for a concessionary fee (please see ‘Do I have to pay course fees?’), you will pay £5 per term. If you don’t qualify for a concessionary fee, go to ‘Are you eligible for classes?’ to check that you are eligible and then look at ‘What will you pay towards the cost of your course?’ for the fees. Usually, if you are benefit, Literacy, Numeracy and first Full Level 2 courses (NVQ2) cost nothing for tuition, all require a £5 administration fee per term.

Do I need to pay the administration fee for each course I want to do? No, but you pay it every term.

What do I need to bring for registration? For a concessionary fee, bring evidence of receipt of an income-related benefit eg Income Support, Job Seeker’s Allowance etc. (Click here to go to ‘Do I have to pay course fees?’) Also, bring the £5 administration fee. If you don’t qualify for a concessionary fee, look at ‘Are you eligible for classes?’ To see if we can enrol you. If you are eligible but can’t claim a concessionary fee, look at ‘What will you pay towards the cost of your course?’ to see your fee. Please bring your passport and your fee.

What is the timetable like? Most classes are from 10-12; 1-3pm. Some: 3.30-5.30pm; a few are 6.30-8.30pm. When you enrol, we will say what spaces are available. You will choose which times you can make.

Is there a creche? Yes, we have some spaces for children from 6 months to 4 years. Apply for a creche space when you enrol. If a space becomes available, we will contact you. The creche is free.

When does the course start? Courses start at different times of the year. Call to find out more.

When does the next academic year start? Enrolment is from Monday 15th September 2008. Bring evidence of benefit (if this applies), your passport; £5 if applicable.
