How long do they last? 2 hours a week as one-off
sessions or 2 hours a week for 4-6 weeks
Who are they for? Family Learning sessions
and courses are for you if you are enrolled at BEC and would like
to develop skills and ideas to help you participate fully in your
children's education. Courses aim to help parents to understand
how children are learning and how they can play a greater role in
children's development.
Courses: Help Your Child at School.
Workshops: Storytelling, Book-Making, Play
and Learn, Songs and Play How do we work? You can join a group led
by one of our tutors or a visitor from the education department
of one the many museums, libraries or galleries in our area. Sessions
are fun and practical. You will find out about different areas of
the curriculum and you can use the resources in London; You will
have the opportunity to visit museums and galleries and find out
what’s on offer; Courses run throughout the year and you can find
out more from your tutor. We offer a free creche for children aged
6 months and over for Family Learning sessions between 10 and 3
pm.

Cost: this course in included in your other
courses at BEC. Where do the courses take place? At BEC, with some
visits to museums and galleries.
