How long do courses last? 2, 4, or 6 hours
a week for 1 – 3 terms (10 weeks per term);
Who are they for? Adults who are eligible for
LSC funding. This is for people who are assessed as needing to improve
their ICT level. Courses: ICT Skills for Life Entry level 1 , ICT
Skills for Life Entry Level 2, ICT Skills for Life Entry Level 3,
New CLAIT 2006, Clait Plus 2006, BBC Webwise, OCR Textprocessing
(Business Professional) Level 1, ECDL Part 1, ITQ Level 2
How do we work? Computer classes are for those
who would like to gain IT skills and have the opportunity to gain
a qualification or a job. There are various sessions throughout
the week. You work at your own pace. You may be working on your
own, in pairs or in a group. Courses run between September and June
and you can enrol at anytime. We also provide a free creche for
children age 2 and above for daytime courses between 10 and 3 pm.
We offer activities beyond the formal education timetable such as
educational trips. When you're ready you can take exams to gain
a qualification. You will not have to pay exam fees if you're on
a means-tested benefit.
